Contactless side-stand switch for California models.
The switch should prevent engine from running while the side stand is out. This was done with mechanical (micro) switches or clutch cable switches in the past. This caused many breakdowns because of the massive side stand literally smashing the switch.
We have developed a new system, including some advantages for ignition power. We achieve this with a contactless system, switching a provided relais to relieve kill switch and ignition lock at the same time. As currents in switches and ignition lock are now very much lower, lifetime is extended by far. Losses that were here in the past are avoided, full ignition power is applied to the coils. As the relais is now fused, a defect in the ignition sytem or in the coils will no longer affect other components, such as the ignition lock.
