The tool is guided over the crankshaft stub so that the prescribed torque can be transmitted without slipping. The internal toothing engages precisely in the locknut without damaging it. Another advantage is the depth limitation. You cannot push the tool too far over the nut. With some tools, this causes the locking plate to bend backwards, which is a real nuisance if you then want to bend the locking plate over. Here, the locking plate remains in its basic "disc" shape. |
