Lightweight Pushrod, short version for V7 conversions

An innovation from HMB-MOTO.
It's not that the original pushrods don´t work, that's for sure. The idea came up when we developed the 851 cc displacement kits for the V7 models. There the pushrods have to be shorter, also a good opportunity to eliminate the no longer available V7 cam followers (small ball at the bottom) and rods. At the time, these were made of solid material with pressed-on steel ends, no longer compatible with the newer cam followers. And: they were much too heavy.
Back to the more modern pushrods from T3 to V11 Sport. These are also quite heavy at 55 grams. Maybe not too heavy in terms of vehicle weight, but in the kinematics of the valve train they are. Every gram counts there. The masses that are accelerated there are largely responsible for wear, and ultimately also for the rev limit and noise development. A must for performance-enhanced engines.
With 42 grams per pushrod, we are about 25% lighter here, with better stability. The whole thing is 100% produced in Germany. Both the choice of materials and the production technology play a role here. The rods are made of high-quality aircraft aluminium. The ball heads and cups are made of EC80 steel and hardened. Here, too, we achieve better values for wear resistance.

Finally, a word about the price. The original rods currently cost around 130 euros per piece. We are far below that, with better quality and more safety for the valve Train.
