Performance camshaft for LM1-LM3, 1000-S, 1100 Sport and LM4/1000 and V11 Sport. This camshaft can be described as a performance camshaft, but it does not have the dreaded peaky performance characteristics of some tuning camshafts. It draws the power increase from a higher limiting speed, but without breaking in the mid-range.
Installation is not “plug and play” as with our D-8.1, for example, and we recommend having the installation carried out by an experienced workshop. Machining of the combustion chamber is required, as well as changing the timing and maintaining the necessary valve clearance.
We are happy to carry out this work in our workshop.
Each kit comes with a suitably measured Schrick valve spring set with valve spring retainers. Details of this valve spring set can be found here:
The cam followers remain the originals, but should be in perfect condition.
