In large two-cylinder engines, low-vibration running and good throttle response depend very much on the exact synchronisation of the carburettors. In these engines in particular, the throttle cables are often routed separately and require regular synchronisation. The previous methods with dial gauges and mercury columns were sometimes rather inaccurate or cumbersome to handle.
Unlike vacuum gauges, the absolute value of the vacuum is not measured here, but the difference between left and right. And this difference is the absolute measure for the synchronisation of the carburettors or throttle valves.

This may still work with clocks at idle speed, but the clocks fail completely when accelerating. This is because at the moment of accelerating, the vacuum in the intake manifold drops and the clocks drop to zero.
But this is precisely the area we are interested in, namely the moment when both throttle bodies should open simultaneously.

This device only ever shows the pressure difference, so an incorrect setting of the throttle cables is quickly detected and can be corrected.

The device uses an LED bar display to show whether the vacuum is equalised. If not, the carburettor or throttle body (slide stop screw) is readjusted. The throttle grip is then opened slightly; if the LED display moves to the left or right, the throttle cable must be readjusted. Done!
The device is mechanically and electronically damped so that the display does not "fidget" and remains easy to read.

The new device is powered by a 9V block battery, giving you maximum freedom of movement and independence from the vehicle battery. The battery life is approx. 12 hours of continuous operation.

With 6mm adaptor to fit all Moto Guzzi inlet manifolds.

As we manufacture these devices ourselves, we can not only supply all individual parts and spare parts, but also carry out repairs in house.
