Cylinder rehoning.
Nickasil coated cylinders, as used from the 80 ies onwards, can (and should) be rehoned when rebuilding with new piston rings. This ensures that there are no edges in the barrel. The slightly rough surface allows the engine oil to cling to it and makes the new piston rings run in within a reasonable milage.
