Breather for Final Drive.
Many final drives build up too much pressure inside. This pressure causes damaged seal rings and massive oil leaks.
This breather avoids this pressure buil up inside the housing. The little conical end-piece avoids water from coming into the drive box.

Is used instead of oil filler plug. It safely seals by O-ring and remains adjustable even after fastening. |
